Sculptra® Aesthetic is a different type of facial injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid, which helps to replace lost collagen. Lactic acid is naturally occurring in the body, and in its synthetic form has been used in the body for decades in suture materials.

Collagen is an important structural component of the skin and soft tissues of the face. When we age we lose collagen and our face becomes thinner and can appear hollow or sunken. Traditional fillers may not be able to address the volume loss that occurs throughout the face. Fillers give instant change, but Sculptra® Aesthetic works gradually. It creates collagen within weeks to months and this new collagen structure provides a foundation that gradually restores the more youthful look of fullness. Sculptra® Aesthetic can be placed almost anywhere there is volume loss. We lose volume at every level of our face, to include loss of bone, muscle mass and soft tissue. Sculptra® Aesthetic can address the appearance of this loss in a unique way.
Sculptra® Aesthetic is administered in a series of treatment sessions. On average, three treatment sessions are needed over a few months, but Dr. Finder will tailor the sessions to best suit your issues and your desired outcome. Once the desired appearance is achieved, the results can last up to two years. After each session you will look very natural and usually makeup may be applied right after.
