Finding the Best Liposuction Surgeon

Your body is your temple. Don’t trust it to just any plastic surgeon for your liposuction procedure. You need more than the doctor’s skill with a laser and scalpel. You need to feel comfortable and trust the surgeon is the best. At The Face & Body Place, Dr. Kimberly Finder is one of the foremost liposuction practitioners in the US, with more experience than anyone in the San Antonio area.

How to Find the Surgeon for you

At The Face & Body Place, your experience is our number one priority. We stay up-to-date on the latest training and technology, and strive to treat our patients with the utmost compassion, so you are reassured and relaxed about your treatments. Feel confident in your choice of surgeon for your liposuction procedure with these tips:

Verify the doctor is certified with the right surgical board

While medical boards ensure surgeons are qualified to perform surgical procedures, not all states require certification outside a specialty. Many doctors trained in general surgery or other specialties will perform liposuction. Dr. Finder is board certified with the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society of Liposuction Surgery.

Confirm the surgeon’s experience in your specific procedure

Ask your potential surgeons how much training they’ve received, how many years’ experience they have in liposuction, and how many liposuction procedures they’ve performed in their career. Dr. Finder is one of the first cosmetic surgeons in the country to perform the tumescent liposuction procedure, having performed more than 7,000 since she began in 1995. She is one of the busiest tumescent liposuction practitioners in the country today.

Get a sense of the surgeon’s aesthetic

Not every surgeon will have the same sense as you for the best contour of your body. Look at their before and after photos closely. Pay particular attention to patients who have a similar before shape, and decide if you like their results. Keep an eye out for consistency in the final result. You want to know that not only can this surgeon reliably achieve noticeable and pleasing results, but they can do so with your particular body type in a way that will make you happy.

What are the operating facilities like?

Two very important things to know are what sort of operating facilities the procedure is performed in, and whether or not the surgeon has hospital privileges in the event of an emergency. Dr. Finder performs all liposuction procedures in a specially designed and equipped procedure room, typically without IV or general anesthesia for better patient safety. This lowers the cost of the procedure significantly while maintaining an extremely safe, sterile, and relaxing environment for every patient.

How fully supportive is the clinic?

Having surgery can make anyone feel vulnerable and anxious, and how the surgeon and staff treat you can minimize those feelings. How comfortable are you with them? Do they answer your questions comprehensively and sensitively? Do you receive prompt attention when you contact them?

There is no one better for tumescent liposuction in the San Antonio area than Dr. Kimberly Finder. The Face & Body Place staff will make your positive experience their mission, so your consultation is relaxing, confidential, and reassuring from every angle.

My appointment was last Friday with Lori. She was amazing. I appreciate all the information from her and Dr. Finder, all the attentiveness, and caring attitude. Looking forward to my next visit.
