Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

How Does Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Work?

Our bodies are incredibly resilient, and our blood has healing properties that can assist with achieving amazing results for several different cosmetic procedures. By performing a quick blood draw in our office and then separating your blood in our laboratory centrifuge, we’re able to obtain your PRP for use as an enhancer in many different cosmetic treatments. It’s a natural way to make your aesthetic procedure results even better by stimulating additional collagen and elastin production!

Am I a Good Candidate for Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

Because the PRP process uses your blood, and never donor blood, virtually everyone is a candidate for using it. There is no risk of allergic reaction when using PRP compared to using synthetic enhancers for aesthetic procedures.

Common treatments in which platelet-rich plasma can be used are:

  • Microneedling of the face, hands, neck or chest
  • Aesthetic treatments for male pattern baldness
  • Laser enhancements with certain laser types

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?

The process of obtaining PRP is very quick. We simply draw a small vile of blood, separate it in our lab’s centrifuge so we can obtain the PRP, then get to work on your chosen aesthetic procedure. Total treatment time depends on the procedure performed with PRP.

What Results Will I See?*

Using PRP helps patients achieve better results from their chosen cosmetic procedures. This is because PRP contains growth factors, platelets and stem cells that promote deep tissue repair and healing.

Is There Any Downtime?

While your cosmetic procedure downtime is going to vary depending on what treatment you have selected, if you combine it with PRP you can anticipate healing to occur more quickly! This is because of the unique properties of platelet-rich plasma which promote tissue repair.
